It is very easy to forget what your actual circumference is, around your middle, until you get a rude bloody painful reminder.
Real life accidents:-
1. Hot tray of 3.5 kg roast beef on the kitchen counter
2. Reaching up for the cabinet above stove while cooking a pot of soup
3. Rush of steam coming out of my superb giant size Tefal iron
